The task of Hurlyvale Primary School is to provide the opportunity for each learner to develop his or her life skills, ability to think and talents as far as possible, whether they are academic, artistic, sporting or practical. We aim to provide this opportunity through maintaining high standards in a Christian educational environment.

Hurlyvale Primary School strives to provide a balanced and relevant educational programme which includes the intellectual, physical, social and moral aspects. In the long term, attention will be paid to the development of an improved curriculum which will enable our teachers, parents, and learners to create a climate in which learners are able to preserve their own identity with pride, while respecting and protecting the cultures of others.
