The revised national curriculum statement emphasizes the importance of Literacy, Numeracy and Life Skills in the young learners’ learning. Each learner must achieve at his/her level and become self-assured in what is done.

The Literacy learning programme encompasses, speaking, listening, writing, reading and other language skills. Learners are encouraged to think creatively, critically and to be ablr to access, process and communicate information. The Numeracy programme enables learners to develop and use mathematically related knowledge in everyday situations. Life Skills involves social, moral, ethical and cultural values that are important in life

Other learning programmes such as Human and Social Sciences, Natural Science, Art and Culture, Technology and Economic Management Sciences, are integrated into the other 3 learning areas.

Learners are encouraged to get involved in all the themes that are handled in the classroom. Reading is of prime importance and a great deal of emphasis is placed on it.

Learners who experience problems of any kind are recommended for therapy where possible. We care for our learners and help wherever we can.
