On Saturday the 14th August we held an open day, along with Interhouse Sports Day. Learners played soccer, netball and chess in their various houses. Art from all grades was displayed in the hall. A presentation was given to new and prospective learners.

 Here are some of the celebrations that took place prior to the World Cup Soccer.

The Grade 1 learners have been at "BIG" school for 100 days. Congratulations. They celebrated this, by holding a party.

A huge thank you to the Hartebeespoort Zoo that recently visited. The learners were able to see and touch giant bullfrogs - Freddy and Bully, lion cubs, an egg eating snake and a baboon.

Press reports that in March 2010 there were two murders linked to users of Facebook (one actually in Pretoria) – while this is a serious issue and something we cannot ignore, it is probably also something which could have been avoided by some safe and responsible online conduct.  Our children deserve the right to access the world that the internet opens up to them, but as educators and parents it is important we understand the dangers and prepare them to do so safely – this is why we have created www.esafety.co.za. Together we can keep our children safe.
