Enrollments for 2013 PDF Print E-mail

ENROLMENTS – 2013


The GDE has decided to bring the enrolment date forward to May. Our applications for enrolment will open on MONDAY 21ST MAY at 07h30 and close on FRIDAY 22nd JUNE 2012.


Each school, in consultation with the GDE has been allocated a feeder area.

The criteria for entry is based on:
1) Living in the area, 2) Siblings (not in Gr7) – fall into the A-list and 3) Living out of the area (B-list)

REGISTRATION TIMES WILL BE STRICTLY LIMITED TO 07H30 TO 10H00 MON TO FRI


CERTIFIED COPIES of the following documentation is to be brought on the day of application:
1. Child’s birth certificate
2. Both parents’ ID documents
3. Proof of residence:
OWN PROPERTY (rates & taxes account in parent’s name)
RENTED PROPERTY: (Copy of lease agreement if rented property, together with FORM TEN01 (this form is obtainable from the school and will have to be completed by the registered owner and landlord of the property)


Only parents of the learners may make application for the child. This may not be done by other family members unless they are legal guardians of the child.

HOW TO STUDY FOR TESTS AND EXAMS

 

Children need to learn to tackle tests in a systematic step by step manner. This means learning how to break the task of studying up into small, manageable portions and to get through these small portions daily, well in time for the due date. Not only does this help avoid stress and anxiety, it also prevents a child from studying in a “parrot fashion” manner which will ultimately render that child a “birdbrain”.
